Summary:
Spy makes some pretty cool goggles, and I like how they have so many different color variations. (I have the blue camo ones.) It seems to fit my face a lot better than the Dragons. I recommend buying a few different lenses for riding in sunny, cloudy, or night conditions. This goggle is worth the price.

Strengths:
Comfortable on your face, pretty good peripheral vision, easy to see around. Comes in really cool designs.

Weaknesses:
Tends to fog, but only when I have a beanie on. Takes around 2 to 5 minutes to de-fog.

Summary:
These are good goggles. I have only experienced fogging when wearing them on my forehead (but you can probably expect that with any goggle you wear on your forehead).

When you put the goggles on your face and start riding, the airflow thru the goggles immediately dries up all the moisture. These goggles are very good in that aspect.

The shape of the goggles also allows for excellent peripheral vision, and their lenses are good quality.

The Scoops I bought came with the persimmon lenses which are good for flat light conditions and night riding. I bought the mirrored lenses for sunny days, and those rock! (they're also good for scoping out the honeys on the D.L. :)

The lenses are also very easy to change. The lenses also don't scratch up very easy.

All in all a good goggle. I'd buy em again. Only gripe is that I heard they won't fit with helmets, so I may need to get the Blizzards when I get my helmet.

Strengths:
Fog clears up quickly, nice shape, quality lenses, easy to swap lenses, look cool!

Weaknesses:
May not fit with helmets.

Summary:
I don't understand some of the reviews below. I use these goggles every day. They only fog up when i put them on my forehead. I have had just about every goggle ever made and these fog less than any of them. As far as flexible, you can twist them in half with the lenses in them. What more would you want? These goggles look cool and perform as perfect as a goggle can. Just Remember - They are just goggles, no matter what marketing hype the companies make up, they are just plastic. The air flow crap has been going on since i was a little kid. Every pair of goggles i have ever owned was "fog free" They have come with cloths, air flow technology blah blah blah. The scoops have fogged the least for me.

Strengths:
Look like a pro ;')

Weaknesses:
The Snow Basin Tram operator like to scam my totoise scoops. A**hole!!!

Summary:
The spy goggles are the worst goggles on the market. Being a professional snowboard instructor I get to use a lot of stuff. This is the first goggle that I hate. It is completely useless. The thing fog up all the time and won't ever defog. Sure they have good styling but thats only important if your a poser and just want to look cool to everybody else. Personally I want to be funtional first then look cool. Also the goggle isn't flexable at all. Because of the extreme curvature to the frame and lack of flex these pieces of junk would give me a headache after an hours worth of use. that is if I was lucky enough to not have them fog up. If your looking for a good goggle spend your money somewhere else. These things suck!!!! Who ever is giving these things great reviews must spend there day in the bar of the cafeteria, THEY ARE JUNK!!!!!!!

Strengths:
Looks Cool, nice lens color

Weaknesses:
Wear do I start, MMM! Well to begin with these goggles SUCK! Fog and won't defog, to narrow. Overall pieces of Sh*t!

Weaknesses:
Strap is a little small, but thankfully it fits my helmet. If you're like me, and you only wear a helmet when attempting a misty 540 you'll want to make sure these fit your helmet. Scratch a little to easy, but maybe thats just me.

Summary:
If i had to sum up these goggles in one word it would be this: EXPENSIVE TRASH THAT GET FOGGED UP THE VERY SECOND YOU EVEN THINK OF GETTING HOT AND THEY NEVER CLEAR UP. or maybe more than one word i guess. The first time i used them was in a blizzard and i was all stoked to put my new gear to the test, and let me say that i was extremely let down and heartbroken. the only thing tight about them is the face pad. did i mention that these bindings suck more than a tijuana crack whore who's hurtin for money? well they do. but let's not stop there, i was even riding in nice weather a couple weeks ago, i fell once and they fogged up and never got better, i just took them off. the only reason i keep using them is because i'm poor and i keep hoping that maybe the next time i use them they won't suck, but i'm never surprised when they do.

Strengths:
comfy cozy pad but other than that, these things F-ing blow!

Summary:
I like these goggles, but it seems like everyone has one so its hard to be original. Thats probably why they have to make so many different colors and junk. Even though its kinda pricey the quality is good. I wouldn't mind getting another pair

Strengths:
Great Field of view, looks great, and depending on what type of lens... works great even at night. Its easy to swap the lens with another pair. Many different colors.

Weaknesses:
The mirror lenses get scratched really easy and works well in the day but not at night. Wearing them at night, I couldn't see nothin and had to take them off. The sponge part that goes on your face gets really soft and feel like its gonna fall apart. One of the plastic clips broke off the back and one of the sponges fell off on the bottom of the air vents. Maybe

Price Paid: $50 at Ski Market

Product Year:
00-01

Summary:
We got these at Ski Market with every intention of buying the $89 Oakley A-frames. After A/B'ing the scoops and the A's the decision was simple: the Scoops were better in every area (unless you're stuck on the Oakley Iridium lenses to the tune of $120). The scoops were also marked down to $50 because of people didn't like the styling...wierdos!

This is a flawlessly performing product. you should be stoked to put thee in your gear bag. In 20 years of skiing these are in the top 5 of the best products I've ever used. Even tho the styling would make you think "form" over "function" these goggles DO NOT DISSAPPOINT when it comes to performance. I give it my highest marks, 5 "dudes".

Strengths:
Swank styling...the best looking gog available. BUT these things DO NOT FOG. I am pretty heated and yesterday we had a foot of fresh powder at Sunapee. I was TRYING to fog these goggles and they just wouldn't. They are totally comfy, look great, have a huge field of vision, and DO NOT FOG. I had these going form face to head between runs and they were clear all day. Excellent contrast on a flat white day (snowing). The goggle has a great natural arch to it so it fits narrow faces perfectly.

Weaknesses:
Some people may not like the nose piece area of the frame. It's a little bulky and if your nose is really small it kind of gets dwarfed by the goggle. However, it's not uncomfortble. Some people may not like the styling but I think it's awesome.

These goggles rock! I have the rose lens with the reflective coating, great for almost any condition. Also bought the yellow lens for night time. They are so comfortable, sometimes I even forget I am wearing them. I also have Spy Scoop glasses for bright sunny days with no pow, but these are the workhorse for most days...I love them and will continue to buy replacement lenses until the foam disintegarates (which has not even begun to happen after 2 years). 'nuf said.

Strengths:
Comfort, peripheral vision, lens, customer service

Weaknesses:
there was a manufacturing defect in the lens in 99, but the board shop swapped out the lens and ordered a new one from Spy, got it the next day. Now that's what I call customer service...from both Fastlane and Spy! Just a tad expensive, but not much more than comparable goggles. (can be found on sale much more easily now than when I bought them in '99)

On my last trip out, we had major powders days (thigh to shin deep). After hours of ripping and me getting pretty steamed up, the Spys were just beginning to fog. Any of my other goggles would have been totally fogged out!

I mostly bought these goggles because they look cool. They are very costly and perform just alright. My last pair of Scott goggles were advertised as fog-proof and they definitely were. These Spy's have pretty good fog protection, but not the best on the market. It definitely has a 'look' about it though. I think it is the most stylish goggle on the market. As far as the fogging goes, it may just be me. I tend to get really hot when I'm riding. Overall, it's a "good" goggle.

Strengths:
Good Periphereal Vision. Great Lens Tint (Persimmon).

The anti-fog system on these goggles is great. I get very hot when riding and these have NEVER fogged up to the point where I couldn't see. The only time I couldn't see is when I was taking them on and off, it was a very cold and windy day and I got some condensation on the inside and it froze on the inside of the lense because of the wind. After I went in and cleared them up, I didn't take them off outside the rest of the day and they never fogged up. GREAT goggle. You can twist them like a rag and they won't break. SUPER QUALITY!!! Really like my Spys - first trip using them I went head first into a tree. 1 - the goggles saved my face from getting (more) mashed; 2 - they didn't even scratch !!

I've got Iridium lens for blue sky, but the Rose tint rocks on the grey days !

Comfy, look cool, spare lenses were cheap

These goggles absolutely suck. they are way over priced. mine always fog up and the foggyness never goes away. montana weather for riding is not the best but these goggles absolutely do not cut it. I purchased a pair of dragons in seatle that ventilate much better and were $40 dollars cheaper. I would never buy a spy goggle ever again. These things suck. They get moisture in between the lenses and everything. They SUCK. Never buy them.

Like I said, these goggles kick major A**, and I can defenitely see myself using Spy goggles until I am 100 and can't even stand on ground much less on a snowboard.

Strengths:
The goggle is really flexible so it can take the punches from the slopes. I also like the scoop design which make the goggles really air dynamic. Overall these goggles kick A**!

Weaknesses:
I really cannot point my finger on any weaknesses what so ever. I would go as far as saying these goggles are flawless and should set the standards for other companies. (i.e.Dragons)

Summary:
My experience with this goggle doesn't seem to be as good as the other reviewers. It just kept fogging up while it was snowing and after a fall, the lense actually came out of the plastic casing. Not a big deal since I can just pop it in, but I'm wondering if it is just an isolated incident or whether it might happen more. I might get a new set of lenses for it to see if I get better results. Otherwise, I might just send the goggle back to get a replacement.

Strengths:
Looks cool with good peripheral vision. It is also more comfortable and fits my face better than other goggles that I have tried.

Weaknesses:
It kept fogging up when during a snowstorm. After about 3 days of use, it got scratched up too.

Product Year:
2000

Summary:
These goggles are Dizope with a capital D. They have killer style, and are extremely comfortable. The foam is super cush, and the frame fits really well. There is a huge variety of lens tints to choose from for any condition, and they don't fog up (for the most part). The only problem I've had with them, is that if you put them on your head after a run or in the lodge, or have a mega bail where your goggles fly off and get covered in snow, then the lens tends to fog up around the edges, somewhat restricting peripheral vision, but not enough to impact your riding. Overall these goggles are worth the dinero.

Strengths:
Look Dope, Don't Fog, and are easily the most comfortable goggles I've tried.

Weaknesses:
I've heard they dont fit helmets well, but if thats the case, get the Scoop Blizzards, as they are made to accomodate them. The lenses only fog if you put them on your head after a run, or in the lodge, and then (at least in my experience) they only fog around the sides and not in your main field of vision. Theyre also knida pricey.

Fits my face better (and cheaper)than the Oakley Pro Frames but a bit of gap with a helmet. Good vent system that defogs as long as you keep moving, just don't put them over your head after a long run. Strap retainer broke (my fault) but still works.
